About Us
Everything we do is with the aim of allowing you to manage your business as best you can and giving you peace of mind in relation to corporate governance.
Our Managing Director will personally invest time with you to fully understand your concerns and challenges, and if appropriate can propose a service customised to your specific circumstances. During this process we will outline our capabilities and where we see value, but ultimately we want to know from you what service we need to provide in order to do business together. Over time our level of involvement can vary according to your requirements and the capabilities of your staff, and it is always our goal to handover tasks where we can after putting appropriate processes and procedures in place.
CFO For Hire gives you access to:
- Consulting CFO Services - Part-time for small to medium businesses.
- Peer CFO Services - Part-time for larger businesses.
- Interim CFO Services - Full-time for a defined period of time.
- Mentor CFO Services - As required to help develop your staff.
We are not tax agents / compliance accountants offering CFO services on the side. Life in public practice differs significantly to corporate life, and unlike your external accountant, we are focused on business performance, not tied up in the red tape of conformance.
Our Consultants
CFO For Hire has a network of highly qualified and experienced consulting CFO's.
With extensive experience, a passion for business, and backed by a strong network of contacts, our consultants love to partner with business owners, being involved at the strategic and tactical level, bouncing ideas around and acting as an independent and impartial sounding board. For our consultants it's all about business optimisation, supported by solid foundations of information to minimise risk.
We will not risk our reputation with a sub-standard consultant, and as a result there may be times when we are either unable to help or need to delay the start of the engagement.
Our Mobile Office
We bring our office to you. Where ever possible we prefer to work with you, your managers and your staff within your business. Our experience shows that to provide the best service we need to be immersed in your business. This helps us to know the numbers are right and allows us to be an integral part of your management team. We need to know, and be involved in, your business to be of full value.
Our Founder and Managing Director
Matt Clarke-Bruce, Founder, Managing Director and Principal Consultant of CFO For Hire, graduated from the University of Western Sydney with a Bachelor of Business majoring in accounting.
Matt commenced his accounting career in the commercial sector prior to accepting a position with international accounting firm Ernst & Young. At Ernst & Young Matt provided a mix of audit, compliance and management accounting services to small and medium business.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant Matt moved back into commerce, and over the next 10 years held various senior finance executive positions with organisations ranging from large publicly listed companies to small privately owned companies.
Preferring to work directly with entrepreneurial business owners, and realising there was a gap in the market, Matt established his own business as MCB Consulting in 2006 (later becoming CFO For Hire after expanding to take on additional consultants).
Matt has since enjoyed bringing big business financial management and control to a number of small and medium sized businesses, and is motivated by unlocking and interpreting information to assist business owners to improve profitability.
Matt is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
